My Samsung cell phone makes me sound muffled. Nobody can hear me clearly when I use it.?

Is this what normally happens to cell phones after three or four years (so we'll keep replacing them), or does it sound like something that could be fixed?

Phones are not fixable at any reasonable cost. If it is 3-4 years old, dude, get a new one!!! 8-)

Also, try moving your mouth farther away from the microphone. THAT will make it sound very muffled, and is not needed. Just talk normally, an inch or two away from the housing!

Get a new phone. 4 years is too long to have the same phone. They've improved so much.

replace it! it sounds like the mic on it is wearing out. the mic can wear out from mainly saliva an sweat. ive worked with cell phones for years so yea.
