Can you take VGA out from a laptop toa TV with Composite video (Red,White,Yellow) with just a cable? If not can you take it to Component video (Red,Green,Blue)? I am trying to watch movies on tv from my laptop but want to find a way without buying a converter, just buying a cable. Thanks
Yes that is possible they make cables that do that. Just go to amazon and search it you will find plenty of results.

Unless your video card can output composite or component video out of VGA, those cables will not work.

Do you have XBox360 and a network? That's how I watch PC movies on my HDTV.
Or, buy a converter:

With a VGA to component adapter, you can do this. Your computer has to be able to output a resolution and refresh rate that matches one that your TV supports.
